The Laugh Factory at the Tropicana Las Vegas will be hosting one of the funniest stand-ups in the country today, when Pauly Shore hits the stage this Friday evening (Aug. 24-26) for a special weekend engagement through Sunday. Sharing the stage with Shore will be Kirk Fox and Rick D’Elia, with showtimes set for 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.
Pauly Shore tasted super-stardom in 1990 when his precedent-setting MTV show “Totally Pauly” hit the airwaves to major fan approval. The show ran for six years, leading him to numerous TV and film roles, including the one-hour HBO TV special, “Pauly Does Dallas” and starring in films like “Jury Duty,” “In the Army Now,” “Bio Dome,” and those that are currently trending on Netflix, “Encino Man,” “Son In Law,” and “The Goofy Movie.”
After his first album, “The Future of America,” was named Best Comedy Album by the College Music Journalists in 1991, the National Association of Record Merchandisers nominated his second album, “Scraps from the Future,” for a Best Sellers Award.
Pauly then went on to star in and produce his own projects, including “Pauly Shore is Dead” for 20th Century Fox, which is now available on Amazon Prime. He also produced and starred in his comedy specials “Vegas is My Oyster,” starring Andy Dick, Tom Green, Bobby Lee and more, and “Pauly-Tics,” starring Herman Cain, Larry King and more, all available on Amazon Prime.
Most recently, Pauly released “Pauly Shore Stands Alone,” a true-life road documentary that follows him as he performs in obscure towns throughout Wisconsin while dealing with his personal life back home, which also appeared on Showtime and is currently on Amazon Prime.
Additionally, Pauly released a series of video interviews in May 2017 for the “Pauly Shore Podcast Show.” His guests include: Judd Apatow, Iliza Shlesinger, Ziggy Marley, Brett Ratner, and many more. Pauly also has a weekly podcast called “Pauly Shore’s Random Rants” which you can find on Soundcloud, iTunes and Stitcher.
Apart from actively touring the country with his standup, Pauly is working on a documentary of his life that spans the 1960s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. He had a role in Adam Sandler’s movie “Sandy Wexler,” which is currently on Netflix . He recently completed a Funny or Die sketch he co-wrote called “Silver Lake Vice Squad,” featuring Bobby Lee, Jay Mohr, and Richard Schiff and is also in the process of completing a documentary series based off his 2014 film “Pauly Shore Stands Alone.”

The Las Vegas Men’s Chorus (LVMC) will perform a new concert about the difficulties of growing into adulthood and singing music as it relates to life at all ages. Under the direction of Ryan Duff, 2017 Heart of Education Award recipient, the Chorus will sing arrangements of the most iconic songs, including songs popularized by Barbra Streisand, Michael Bublé, Queen and many more. The Concert will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 4:00pm in the Winchester Cultural Center Theater at 3130 McLeod Drive near Desert Inn Road.
“The Las Vegas Men’s Chorus is honored to again contribute to the musical arts in Las Vegas,” said Mike Winget, president of LVMC. “‘This is Me’ is a musical experience like no other. Through our concert, we will bring additional awareness and share support resources to issues such as HIV, teen homelessness and suicide. Our audience will share in these real-life experiences and also celebrate success stories through our singing. LVMC’s singing has impacted its audiences locally and nationally and provides something meaningful back to Las Vegas and the chorus will remain committed to continuing to do it.”
Musical Director, Ryan Duff shared “I am very excited for this show because it beautifully captures the journey we have all struggled through to get to where we are today. The music is as diverse as the ensemble is and I think this show has the potential to be incredibly impactful.”
The Las Vega’s Men’s Chorus was established in the early 90’s by a small group of men looking to bring the choral sound of men’s voices to the Las Vegas Community. The Chorus is a tax-exempt, non-profit ensemble whose members sing together with the purpose of creating musical experiences, providing cultural enrichment, and promoting social acceptance for its members, community, and audiences.
