Dust off the leisure suits! Shine up those platform shoes! Be transported back to a simpler time when gas was under $1.00 per gallon… when music was fun, inspiring, and uplifting… and disco was King! With the resurgence of the ‘70s, fueled in part by the hugely popular 2008 summer hit movie “MAMMA MIA!”, based on the Broadway musical production, the music of ABBA is finding its way back into the hearts of those who lived it then and taking over the hearts of those who are experiencing it for the first time now.
ABBACADABRA, The Ultimate ABBA Tribute is coming to the South Point Showroom in July. For 3 nights only, July 19-21, experience decades of your favorite ABBA hits performed by some of the most talented performers in the game. This high energy show will have you singing and dancing in the aisles. With tickets starting at just $28, these shows will definitely be filled to capacity, so plan on getting your tickets early or you will miss out—that’s for sure!
From 1974 thru 2019… Yes, 46 years of ABBA music. Over four decades of some of the greatest pop songs in history kept alive by ABBACADABRA – the ultimate ABBA tribute. Jerry Greenberg, former president of Atlantic Records who signed the new band ABBA in 1974, says “ABBACADABRA is as close as you’ll ever hear to the real thing.” Now in their 14th year of touring, ABBACADABRA has entertained audiences worldwide, includes performing on two national TV shows to huge audience ratings; a one-hour special on AXs TV show, “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” and the “Home & Family” show on the Hallmark Network.
Producer Gary Raffanelli got the idea on the spot in an entertainment meeting and bluffed that it was already in production. The excitement in the room caused him to begin that day in 2002. The show has performed in Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, Guatemala, coast to coast in the USA with more tours planned in Canada and India.
Fueled by the hugely popular 1999 Broadway musical production “MAMMA MIA!”, the 2008 movie of the same name, and the new “MAMMA MIA! 2”, the music of ABBA is back in the hearts of those who lived it then and taking over the hearts of those who are experiencing it for the first time now. ABBACADABRA promises to continue the momentum by performing 20 of the group’s greatest hits in full ABBA flair. “Mamma Mia!”, “S.O.S.”, “Super Trooper”, and “Dancing Queen” are re-created with such precision you’ll swear you were listening to the originals themselves. “Take a Chance on Me” and “Waterloo” will lift the audience out of their seats to dance! The show is authentic in music and dress and is performed to live music that will leave you excited and melancholy… at the same time.

International cabaret sensation BLANC de BLANC will make its debut on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, Friday, Aug. 16. BLANC de BLANC is the Vegas debut of Strut & Fret Production House, one of Australia’s preeminent theatre and major events companies. This award-winning production plunges audiences into a world of overflowing champagne bottles, sparkles and glamour leaving every spectator breathless with delight. Devised by an electric creative team, BLANC de BLANC was conceived and directed by Scott Maidment (cabaret sensations LIMBO, Cantina, Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour), choreographed by Kevin Maher (choreographer for Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and Madonna), with costumes by James Browne (costume design for musicals Cabaret, Ghost and Xanadu), lighting and set design by Philip Gladwell (Magic Mike Live, The Exorcist), and a thumping soundtrack from Danish electronic artist Kenneth Bager.
Aptly described as a “champagne cabaret,” BLANC de BLANC transports guests from a sophisticated French lounge to a pumping nightclub party with the world’s finest acrobatic talent, big moves, great tunes, lots of skin and more than a few surprises. It is a complete night out – a premium, only-in-Vegas-style experience that starts the moment guests enter The Foundry. “I wanted to create a new sort of circus, one that takes the audience into a heady, bubble-filled, overflowing, crazy party, inspired by champagne,” said Maidment. “This show has had a brilliant reception around the world. I know that Vegas is going to love it.”
BLANC de BLANC will perform Thursdays through Mondays (dark Tuesdays/Wednesdays) at 7 p.m. with additional 9:30 p.m. shows on Saturdays.
